Newletter


   

I hope you all had a terrific Thanksgiving and enjoyed the break!  I love the holiday season and look forward to getting to spend such a special time of year with your students.

Homework- due Thursday
For homework this week please complete the following:
·      Read and fill-out November reading bring Calendar on Thursday
·      Spelling get to 50
·      Monday night review green math packet for test on Tuesday.

Upcoming events:

o   Wednesday, November 30th- Flag Ceremony Assembly 10:45am
o   Monday, December 5th- Orlando’s Birthday
o   Thursday, December 15th- We will be going to the Christmas Carol Play at SUU 10:00am
o   Thursday, December 15th- Afternoon Christmas School Sing
o   Monday, December 19th- Winter Recess Begins.

Science: This week we will be finishing our rock and fossils science unit! 

Math: We are having a test on telling time Tuesday, November 29th. And then we will begin learning long division.

Reading and Vocabulary:  Reading groups that stay within the classroom are starting literacy centers during the forty-five minute block.  Literacy centers will allow us to learn and review concepts more often in short intervals of time. 

Spelling:  Please see each students individual spelling sort for this weeks spelling words or the back side of this newsletter.   


Thursday, December 15th
We will be going to the Christmas Carol play at SUU-if you could donate money to help cushion the cost of taking the students I would greatly appreciate ANY donation.

Homework- due Thursday
For homework this week please complete the following:
·      Read and fill-out November reading calendar.
·      Study spelling words.
·      Blue reading page
·      Math page.

Upcoming events:

o   Wednesday, November 16th-Ice Cream Multiplication party.
o   Thursday, November 17th- District math competition
o   Thursday, November 17th- Keiara’s Birthday


Science: Our rock cycle has been a lot of fun so far.  Each student is learning how to identify sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks. 

Math: We are starting to learn how to tell time.  This is a short unit to where we will continue to practice multiplication before moving on to long division.

Thanksgiving Break- November 23-25th
Next week is thanksgiving break! Since we only have school Monday and Tuesday there will not be a newsletter or homework! Enjoy the break and if traveling, travel safe.
